All Night Flight

“Trap all day, play all night, this is the life of a, the life of a go getter, go getter, go getter.” Cheddar shouted as Dream exited the car. “What we got?”

Dream could tell Cheddar was excited to see her but he was acting a lil too hyper. “You high?”

“Coming down from one, why?” Cheddar asked.

“Cause you scaring me, feel me? Calm yo’’ ass down and let’s get this money. Where Dot?” Dream inquired.

“In the bed sleep. She said to drop her $25 for using the porch tonight and she’ll be straight.”

“Aight. Let’s get it.”

Dream and Cheddar prepared for the long night. As much as Dream wanted to be with Bump, she had a plan in full swing so spending time with Bump would have to wait until tomorrow. A fiend walked up to the porch as the night began.

“Can I get a dime?” the fiend asked.

“You got the whole ten?” Dream inquired.

“Naw, I got $8.50 but I promise to bring you back the other $1.50 later on,” the fiend lied.

“Not gone work pop. Either you got the whole ten or you gets nothing. Anyways, y’all know I don’t break my twenties down for no damn dimes so why you coming over here half stepping?”

“Look, you know I’m good for it. Please help a brother out,” begged the fiend.

“Not in this day and age. Come back with $11.50 more and cop a twenty. I got you then.” Dream lied.

“You know you be acting all stuck up like a bitch sometimes,” the fiend confessed.

“Ms. Bitch to you; now keep it moving.”

The fiend stormed off angry but knew better than to try anything when in the presence of Cheddar.

“I like how you played that, Dream. Gotta make these rock stars get they money right,” Cheddar said.

“Cheddar, I ain't going to jail for $8.50. If I’mma do time, it’s gone be for millions, not no fucking $8.50. The fuck? He better hit Dint Street and holla at them gits on the corner. They fall prey to any amount of money.”

“That’s the reason they young asses be in juve and the county at an alarming rate. I keep telling them gits to slow down but hardheaded ass young niggas think they know everything.”

“Don’t I know it. All they wanna do is get quick money, buy Force’s, hit the club and fuck hoes. Their time on these streets is limited but it is what it is.”

D-Money pulled up to the trap house and exited the car. Right behind him, Grand parked his vehicle. The porch was full of trappers with any type of product the street zombie’s craved. Dream served crack; D-Money sold crack, pills, and cocaine; Cheddar served pills, cocaine, crack and weed; and Grand served weed and pills. It was guaranteed to be a prosperous night.

“What they do Dream? I see you getting to the money,” D-Money spoke first.

“Trying to. What’s good Grand and Money? Y’all boy’s tight work?” Dream asked.

“Yeah, I’m straight. I’m trying to make at least $500 tonight because I gotta drop $1,500 on my car tomorrow,” Grand replied.
